The expected: GI
Mild-to-moderate nausea, occasional reflux, and constipation are the most common side effects — especially during titration weeks. Eat slowly, smaller portions, hydrate aggressively.
Manageable strategies
Take with light food, avoid heavy/fatty meals, hydrate. Most GI side effects fade within 7–10 days of each new dose.
Less common
Headache, fatigue, injection-site irritation. Usually transient.
Call your care team if
Severe abdominal pain (rule out pancreatitis), persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, or any sudden vision changes. Rare — but worth knowing.
